I used an auto rigger plugin for Softimage. Plugin is called myRig by Masashi Yamaguchi. The rest of the skinning / enveloping process was done using the built in Softimage tools.
Do you have the link to the latest version of the rig ? I looked all over Masashi's site but couldn't find the download link. I can give you my email address so you can send it.
